The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations and inventory management of our company assets. This position will ensure efficient and smooth operations by coordinating and monitoring supply chain activities, managing logistics systems, hardware inventory and ensuring timely delivery of goods to employees and pilots in the field. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and Monitor Equipment Inventory: Plan and track the shipment of equipment according to requirements. Coordinate logistics activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and manage equipment inventory levels and shipment to ensure that production schedules and customer orders are met. Conduct regular inventory audits.
  • Logistics Systems Management: Utilize logistics software to optimize procedures. Ensure the efficient and effective use of logistics IT systems to monitor shipments, inventory levels, and supply chain activities. Manage daily inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation/shipping or warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements. Prepare accurate reports for upper management. Maintain records of orders, invoices, and shipments. Familiarity & experience with logistics processes with Lipo Battery and other dangerous goods classified procedures, logistics and shipping is preferred. Provide input on the creation of policies and procedures for logistics activities.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues that arise concerning logistics operations. Implement contingency plans as necessary. Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues with 3rd party shipping vendors
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics team, procurement department, and other relevant parties to improve processes and resolve issues. Collaborate with other operations teams to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
  • Analysis & Improvement: Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational, planning, scheduling, and project management skills with the ability. to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Excellent communication skills with a high attention to detail and timely follow-up.
  • Able to work remotely and coordinate effectively with team members of a fully remote workforce.
  • Ability to use computers, software and other technology for data management, equipment inventory and shipping, and communication purposes.
  • Able to sit, stand for long periods of time
  • Able to easily lift at least 70 lbs.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Occasionally, being able to work outside of business hours
  • Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
  • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service and client relations skills
  • Associate’s degree or higher in operations, engineering, logistics, project management, or similar
  • 2 – 3 years’ work experience in operations with a focus on inventory management and logistics
  • Project management and experience working in a fast paced cross-functional environment desired
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity & experience with logistics processes
