Client is seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician with commercial solar experience to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) division in MA. The Field Service Technician will report to the O&M Managers and provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform commissioning, on-site routine maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities
• DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing.
• Maintain the vehicle, tools, meters and truck stock
• Document and report site visits and service calls.
• Investigate and mitigate any reported roof leaks including thorough documentation
• Assist with other tasks including inspections and site audits when assigned

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience PV System installation, operations & maintenance (O&M), including PV DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, network communications and monitoring
• Diagnostic capabilities to troubleshoot and correct problems found
• Experience with operation of DAS systems
• Skilled in the use of testing equipment and tools such as Thermographic Electrical Inspection, Meggers, Ground Fault Detection
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices
• Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams
• Proficiency with MS Office suite
• Proficient working with spreadsheets, word processing, and computer-based applications
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
• Valid Drivers License
• OSHA 10 HR Training

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Work is to be performed in the field and in the office.
• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-10 hours a day.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $26.00 per hour
