Job Description

X4 Technology are offering the opportunity for a visionary Project Manager to join one of their publicly traded fintech clients. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development and execution of renewable energy projects powered by co-located data centers. This position offers an opportunity to drive sustainable growth that is focused on maximizing shareholder value through the development of new renewable energy projects.

The team are focused on identifying and monetizing stranded or wasted energy. They are identifying and developing new business sections that are utilising these stranded energy assets, particularly non grid related. Three examples of this are: 1. Energy solutions for oil and gas to mitigate methane emissions; 2. Looking into thermal reuse from their data centers for district heating needs; 3. Looking into creating biogas and monetising that onsite).

Responsibilities of the Project Manager include:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules and budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Provide oversight and supervision of construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to support project construction and installation activities
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans and alternative solutions to address technical issues and minimize project disruptions

Requirements of the Project Manager include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management in the renewable energy or oil & gas sector
  • In-depth understanding of renewable energy technologies including solar, wind, hydroelectric, biomass and their respective development processes
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, zoning requirements and other regulatory frameworks relevant to renewable energy project development and operations
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and lead cross-functional teams towards achieving project objectives and deliverables.

They are offering remote working and a competitive salary depending on previous experience.
