Role Overview:

As a Project Manager at World Energy, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of energy-related projects. You will be responsible for driving the overall coordination and management of the installation of energy efficiency, EV Charging, and Solar projects in MA and NH.

The Project Manager will report to the CEO and will work closely with our Project Development and Sales Teams to ensure the successful, profitable, and timely installation of projects for our commercial, industrial, and municipal customers.

The position will require travel throughout Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire to ensure the timely and efficient installation of projects. The Project Manager will meet with customers and subcontractors on site as needed, coordinate material procurement, and be a critical thinker and problem solver to ensure project profitability and 100% customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates all necessary project installation logistics
  • Works closely with the fast-growing Solar Team to ensure accurate and timely installation of commercial solar array projects
  • Assists with establishing project budgets, tracks, and reports
  • Processes purchase orders for supplies and materials and approves vendor invoices
  • Manages and administers the construction process and project schedules w/ subcontractors
  • Administers documents, including contracts, change orders, and requisitions
  • Coordinates with customers and subcontractors to identify areas of concern, address issues, and ensure timely delivery of all projects
  • Coordinates final inspections and sign-offs prior to the final release of payments
  • Meets w/ utility personnel for pre- and post-inspections as required
  • Completes all pre- and post-construction utility/project paperwork as required
  • Negotiates and processes subcontractor agreements; approves subcontractor invoices
  • Develops and manages sub-contractor and customer relationships

Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in a technical field, is a plus, but not required
  • Minimum of 2 4 years of experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy or sustainability sector
  • Experience in the development and/or installation of commercial solar systems is a major plus

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of construction procedures and operations
  • Ability to manage tight schedules and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility and the ability to organize and prioritize a wide range of projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Skills in troubleshooting and devising scope and specifications for cost-effective solutions
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to interpret responsibilities and possess initiative to assume additional duties
  • Ability to travel to property sites to manage projects and emergency situations on short notice

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
