About The Role

Workshop is seeking a visionary entrepreneur committed to accelerating the world’s transition to a sustainable future to join us as an Entrepreneur in Residence focused on Climate. In this role, you will partner closely with Workshop’s team to identify, validate and launch a new venture aimed at dramatically reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

You will drive the end-to-end venture building process, from researching the biggest decarbonization opportunities to bringing an initial product to market. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting a deep dive into key climate tech sectors to uncover high-potential opportunities
• Pressure testing venture concepts with industry experts, target customers and scientific advisors
• Developing the initial product, business model and go-to-market strategy
• Building an exceptional founding team with the right mix of climate expertise and startup experience
• Launching a minimum viable product and driving early customer adoption

Over the EIR period, you will leverage Workshop’s extensive climate tech resources, relationships and expertise to validate your concept and build the foundations for rapid scale. For ventures that demonstrate significant promise, Workshop will invest pre-seed funding and provide dedicated support to spin out the company, with you as co-founder and CEO. You will have a meaningful equity stake and the opportunity to lead the startup in achieving transformational climate impact.

About You

• Successful track record founding and scaling climate technology startups
• Deep subject matter expertise in a key sector like clean energy, decarbonized transport, carbon removal, etc.
• Exceptional ability to translate complex science into world-changing products and businesses
• Proven leadership skills and experience building strong technical and business teams
• Unrelenting commitment to developing scalable solutions to the climate crisis
• Entrepreneurial drive, creativity and a bias toward action
