The Assembler Entry role offers excellent opportunities for growth and learning. Under supervision, the assembler works in various areas of a small cable department, including assembling products, components, or parts. The assembler ensures that production standards are met, work is completed efficiently and safely, and provides a platform to expand one’s skills and knowledge. Key Responsibilities Learns to read details of production instructions, processes, and procedures, including interpreting and translating engineering designs and documentation. Inspects equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment; perform basic routine adjustments and maintenance under supervision. Operates production equipment under supervision, following prints and specifications. Assigned tasks may require various hand tools, including saws, grinders, presses, sanders, and buffers. Under supervision, measuring and cutting various lengths of wire and braid while ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications. Report any issues with equipment or materials to supervisor. Learn how to abide by OSHA and environmental regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic math skills along with mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow verbal and written instructions. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations. Walking or standing on the Plant floor. Frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without help.
