Description
Kinsley Energy Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician who will be responsible for the commissioning and maintenance of cogeneration and battery backup storage. The ideal candidate will be a professional with experience in internal combustion engine and/or generator service, maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
Field Service Technician Essential Functions
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on cogeneration and battery storage systems at customer sites.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide feedback on system performance and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance logs, service reports, and inventory.
- Provide training and support to customers on system operations and maintenance best practices.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in cogeneration and battery storage technology.
- Maintain inventories of parts and consumables to ensure minimal equipment downtime
- Safely operate and maintain a company-owned commercial vehicle
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to 24-hour emergency calls for repairs and service
- Other duties as assigned
Field Service Technician Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in cogeneration systems, battery storage, or related fields are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, preferably in cogeneration or battery storage systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work flexible hours as needed including nights, weekends and on call hours as required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (as required by local jurisdiction) Certification or the ability to attain one
- Possess and maintain a current, valid state driver’s license with a current DOT medical card as required for towing
