About Walmart Energy Transformation

The Walmart Energy Transformation team is a newly reimagined energy team that was created to ensure the team has the resources and internal positioning to deliver on Walmart’s energy-related regenerative goals. The team now reports directly to the COO of Walmart US and the Chief Sustainability Officer.

We are a team of seasoned energy veterans dedicated to realizing Walmart’s regenerative commitments and leveraging Walmart’s platform to support the decarbonization of our customers, associates, communities, and suppliers. Because energy touches everything, we work across Walmart, particularly real estate, facilities, supply chain, network design, transportation and customer experience. We have come from across Walmart, utilities, developers, banking, clean energy consulting and environmental NGOs. We are innovators and change agents determined to make an impact. In the Senior Manager, Innovations role, you will be responsible for working with the Product , UX, Engineering, and Business team s to design and deliver a su perior EV charging experience . This p osition reports to the Director, Innovations , and is an individual contributor role based in Bentonville, Arkansas.

What you’ll do…

  • Manage the development of innovation designs and solutions by collaborating with senior leadership to determine new business initiatives; evaluating current state of the business and capabilities; identifying, researching, and determining opportunities and recommending various solutions; leading the design and development of solutions; researching and providing guidance on best practices to ensure future initiatives are optimized; leading the analysis of initiative results and providing recommendations; presenting recommendations to senior leadership; and leading the implementation of designs and solutions
  • Develop and validate innovation concept tests by identifying opportunities for innovative business improvements; determining the best approach for proof of concept; developing the testing architecture; determining testing requirements, attributes, and selection; overseeing the training of store associates; analyzing the results; and determining scalability of new initiatives
  • Lead medium- to large-scale innovation projects or project work-streams by collecting and determining requirements of projects and innovation opportunities; determining deliverable needs; gaining buy-in on deliverable requirements; ensuring deliverables are completed and meet project requirements; reviewing and analyzing key performance indicators; gathering input from project teams and senior management; identifying risks and communicating risks to the project team and leadership; and consolidating project information and providing an overview to leadership
  • Consult with internal organizations on strategic initiatives by developing high-level project plans to achieve strategic goals; prioritizing and executing work streams within corporate strategies; integrating and prioritizing timelines, tasks, analysis, and team assignments; and ensuring proper planning, testing, and delivery of high-level strategic initiatives

What you’ll bring…

  • 5+ years of experience in EV charging product management
  • Proficiency with EV charging operations (OCPP, OCPI, ISO-15118) or energy domain knowledge strongly desired
  • Depth and breadth of knowledge across multiple software engineering disciplines: restful services, data modeling, distributed design orchestration, and API’s
  • Customer first approach with a relentless passion to improve the charging experience through great useable and scalable solutions
  • Strong track record of succeeding in matrixed organizations and collaborating with stakeholders from multiple domains

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications…

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Science, or related field and 4 years’ experience in program management, operations management, design innovation, financial analysis, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in program management, operations management, design innovation, financial analysis, or related area.
2 years’ experience using Microsoft Office.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
