Job Description

Duration: 6.0months contract

Pay Rate Range: $45.00 – 49.00/hr on W2

Description:

Systems Engineering consists of the design, development, and introduction of systems effectively utilize state-of-the-art developments encompassing various engineering and related fields and associated products. It also includes cost/benefits analyses and projected return on investment. Plan, conduct or coordinate a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Conduct or coordinate complex analyses and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations. Serve as consultant to management and customers regarding advanced technical studies, their potential application and the resolution of complex problems. Manage or coordinate major engineering projects of substantial impact to the company. Proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.

COMPETENCE: Electrical Systems

MAIN FUNCTION:

Secure quality assurance (QA) for the assigned power package within contractual scope of supply.

Secure the package within own discipline to comply with the established Health and Safety Executive (HSE) rules and regulations defined.

Carrying out communication with the customer concerning technical matters.

Carrying out communication with the class concerning technical matters.

Carrying out communication with the sub-suppliers and all matters related to the order, and assuring that all changes and additional requirements are handed over properly.

Secure that necessary approvals are obtained from the client for design, drawings, quality, and inspections formats.

Secure that all verbal agreements are properly documented and approved by the parties.

Assuring third party approval of the documents and systems/requirements.

Assuring that all necessary required documents are transmitted to the client in accordance with the Master Document List (MDL).

Assuring changes found to deviate from the contracted scope of supply is addressed.

Secure that feedback is provided tthe Project Manager on problems, progress, and experience in all areas.

Communicate to Project Manager any request for changes beyond the scope of contract.

Delivery of final documentation based on “as delivered” after closed commissioning.

Secure required documentation as base to write purchase orders to sub-suppliers.

Plan and schedule activities within own discipline and scope of responsibility and coordinate the plan with Project Manager.

Ensure proper change management handling, according to internal guidelines, of both software and hardware, until the project handover to service have been completed.

Ensure cyber security implementation for own scope of responsibility

RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Familiar with Marine Industry standard codes and Classification society regulation (DNV, ABS and USCG regulation)

2. Experience in Marine System Integration involving Energy storage system, power generation and distribution (AC & DC)

3. Experience in hybrid multi-drive system

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

5. Perform power system study in ETAP and MATLAB for MV /LV Systems

6. Broad knowledge in vessels type and design.

7. Self-motivated, think out of the box.

8. Quality driven nature focused on results.

9. Ability to work and lead multiple projects.

10. Experience in Low & Medium voltage AC system design (including equipment selection, Equipment rating, calculations, Interface, Ilists, System topology)

11. Experience in Switchgear Interlocking and protection scheme and design activities.

12. Write Protection and Control Functions description.

13. Develop input/output list for electrical systems/apparatuses.

14. Develop technical specification based upon customer and system requirements.

15. Review /verify the technical proposal and generate gap analysis.

16. Relion Relay Programing (Logic and IEC 61850)

17. Prepare Commissioning checklist for Switchgear (AC, DC)

18. IEC 61850 Network setup and design

19. UPS design effort Including: equipment selection, System calculation, SLD

20. Prepare interface list for MV/LV Systems.

21. Prepare and review Interconnection diagram
