Job Description

General Description

The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating, updating and coordinating project schedules. They will create resource usage models and predictions and work closely with project teams to build and then optimize project schedules. The Project Scheduler will work with internal development, preconstruction, and construction teams for all aspects of the project life cycle. The project scheduler will ensure that all schedules are being created and maintained using a consistent methodology.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the project team to develop, maintain and manage the project schedule including development, engineering, purchasing, construction, supply chain, and regulatory activities.
  • Update the schedule and compare the actual work performed against the baseline program; identify and report variances.
  • Review vendor and subcontractor schedule submittals and incorporate appropriate information into the schedule(s).
  • Identify activities impacting the schedule’s critical path and identify opportunities to accelerate completion of the work, or measures to avoid potential delays.
  • Report on project statuses, trends, forecasts, cashflow, project contingency, and schedule risks and opportunities.
  • Participate in regular project team meetings across all company projects.
  • Prepare spend curves and cash-flow forecasts during the life-cycle of the project, responsible for reporting schedule deliverables to the project team.
  • Regularly review critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints, and milestones with project teams for review by client.
  • Provide schedule analysis and metrics to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Provide schedule analysis for change orders and claims preparation as necessary.
  • Ensure integration of schedule data between P6 and Procore.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of planning/scheduling experience
  • An understanding of critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 a requirement
  • Certification received through Oracle, PMI or other similar a plus
  • Experience in project planning/scheduling within the renewables industry a plus
  • Requires strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and project management software, Procore experience a plus
