Transmission Engineer

Vallum Associates are partnering with a global renewable energy developer who is seeking a skilled engineer to join its Transmission & Interconnection team. This role involves designing renewable energy projects and coordinating with utilities throughout development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with utility-scale transmission, energy storage systems (BESS), and state-level interconnection processes.
• Supporting early-stage solar and battery storage designs and ensuring compliance with grid standards.
• Managing design modifications, reviewing impact studies, and leading technical negotiations with utilities.
• Providing regular interconnection updates to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy transmission and interconnection.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands on experience with PSSE/TARA, power flow/short circuit analysis, interconnection studies, etc.
