The project’s goal is to develop key analytical and experimental foundations for improving power quality in modern renewable energy based power systems. The proposed technique is to use magnetic flux in power transformer’s iron core to address power quality concerns, specially harmonics, which would be easier to implement, more efficient and more reliable. The student’s role will be assisting in the design, testing, and optimization of the power quality improvement system, as well as writing reports and research papers.
