Position Summary
The Energy Specialist will lead the development and tracking of UIC’s Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Program and ensure that Utilities and Energy Services (UES) projects are implemented strategically and cost-effectively. Drive the overall analysis of energy performance opportunities for UIC and provide reporting on the impact of those projects to leadership, including cost and labor savings and other metrics requested. Assist in greenhouse gas reporting, develop staff training, provide data for communications, manage the allocation of Green Revolving Fund resources, plan implementation of the Energy and Carbon Plan, and investigate new technologies and best practices.
