About The Role
The Electrical Field Manager builds and oversees Treehouse’s national electrical workforce, ensuring outstanding performance, exceptional customer care, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. While delivery may be executed through Treehouse-employed technicians or third party Treehouse-aligned installers, the Electrical Field Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that every installer experiences ease, convenience, and clarity in their work process and that every customer experiences exceptional quality, professionalism, and customer care. Our Electrical Field Manager pushes the boundaries of what’s been done within the trades to establish Treehouse as the nation’s leading electrical services provider, true for our customers and for the employees who bring our vision to life!
Responsibilities
The Electrical Field Manager:
- Supervises, performance-manages, and trains a strong, diverse, and inclusive field team, hiring and retaining electricians and apprentices and fostering positive connections for them across the Company.
- Conducts installations, site visits, and hosts inspections with the team or independently when required to meet scheduling, technical, or other company needs.
- Ensures installer accuracy, efficiency, and throughput according to company goals while building a trusting and inclusive culture for our field team. Provides in-field and remote technical support.
- Reviews assigned site visits, installations, and inspections to ensure installation readiness, appropriate team member assignments, advance materials procurement, and balanced schedules.
- Supports in-field customer service as electrical subject-matter expert, conducting (or overseeing the team in conducting) site visits, identifying and negotiating change orders, and advising on scoping needs as needed.
- Trains team in new service lines to ensure ongoing skill development and company growth.
- Collaborates with Workforce leadership to inform and improve field support tools.
- Maintains standard operating procedures and guidelines to support electricians in the field.
Minimum Qualifications
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Active residential electrician certification in the state of California.
- Five or more years of experience supervising a residential electrical workforce, and a demonstrated interest in employee performance management, supervision, and capacity-building.
- First-hand experience in bidirectional charging, storage battery installation, and current techniques in home electrification and renewable energy.
- Full knowledge of and ability to educate on national and regional electrical code requirements; ability to interpret electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and project specifications related to electrical installations.
- Experience creating and implementing procedures, systems, and software to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and engagement along with strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfort with independence, a bias for action, learning quickly, and frequent iteration and an ability to thrive in a fast-past, early-stage company environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Additionally, candidates may demonstrate:
- Prior professional experience in an early-stage startup environment.
- Site surveying and design experience.
- Experience training field team members in the use of technology for job reporting, management, and day-to-day communication.
- Comfort navigating CRM and/or field management systems.
