Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of our “Organics” projects. This role involves managing the project scope, budget, and timeline while collaborating with various cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery. Reporting to the Project Management Office (PMO) team lead, the Project Manager will facilitate key stakeholder engagement, manage risk, and drive project deliverables to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage up to three concurrent Organics projects from inception to completion
- Identify potential project scope issues, manage risks, and maintain an updated risk register
- Collaborate with teams to analyze trends, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance project performance
- Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration, including scheduled meetings to track progress
- Lead weekly meetings on safety, procurement, engineering, construction, contract management, and project performance
- Manage project budgets, including change orders and approvals for any non-budgeted or unexpected expenses
- Compile and submit progress reports to the project sponsor, ensuring transparency and timely communication
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of project management experience
- Industry experience in one or more of the following:
- Highly Preferred: Renewable Natural Gas (RNG)
- Utilities (Gas/Electric)
- Oil and Gas
- Environmental Projects
- Sustainable Energy (Solar, Wind, Biomass)
- Industrial Construction
- Power Plant Construction
- Wastewater Treatment
Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, data analysis, and proficiency in project management tools
Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget
Ability to travel up to 25% for site visits and stakeholder meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing complex construction projects involving civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scopes
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations
- Strong stakeholder management skills, especially when working with local government entities, regulatory bodies, and utilities
- Expertise in advancing design-build or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects
- Familiarity with renewable energy development processes and challenges
- Advanced scheduling experience with tools such as P6 Primavera and Microsoft Project
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management experience
Project Scope:
- Primary focus: Projects valued at $50 million
- Relevant experience range: $5 million to $50 million, with additional consideration for candidates with experience exceeding $50 million
- Critical path analysis and resource leveling experience are a plus
