Overview:

The Sr. Procurement Manager will play a critical role in planning, coordinating and executing the strategic sourcing and procurement activities related to Concrete products, Separation Technologies and Corporate spend categories at Titan America. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery timelines for materials, equipment, and services and other key projects and negotiating contracts for such projects, in close alignment with other key stakeholders from the Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal and Finance. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of P2P/S2P purchasing and strategic sourcing, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to effectively source and execute sourcing agreements in alignment with Business strategy and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies in alignment with business strategies and objectives to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services at the desired quality and service levels while ensuring compliance with Titan America Procurement, EHS, Sustainability and other relevant policies.

Purchasing Transactions: Manage the P2P/S2P process and a team of buyers to ensure alignment with P2P policies and procedures. Ensure efficient management of the Purchase Order process and facilitate seamless and timely execution of transactions from the Purchase Requisition to Accounts Payable functions. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and Business Process owners to optimize the P2P / S2P process for efficiency and compliance.

Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors capable of meeting our supply requirements including in terms of quality, quantity, delivery/lead time and cost. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and services.

Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the lowest total cost of ownership, including pricing, payment terms, quality, service levels and supply milestones agreements. Ensure contracts are structured to mitigate risks and align with business objectives.

Cost Management: Analyze deals from a total cost of ownership perspective to identify opportunities for optimization. Implement cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, internal stakeholders/ supplier partnerships, competitive bidding and alternative sourcing strategies.

Risk Management: Assess and mitigate supply chain risks. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain, unexpected macro and value chain changes and other contingencies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including stakeholders from the business, engineering, finance, operations, and legal to align sourcing activities with business requirements and objectives. Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on procurement processes and best practices.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance and monitor compliance with contractual agreements. Conduct regular performance reviews and take corrective actions as needed to address issues and drive continuous improvement. Develop dashboards and standard & customized reports as needed to track and report status on specific commodities, contracts or services. Track & report savings, cost avoidance and cost inflation/budget deviations in a timely manner.

Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to sourcing and procurement activities. Promote ethical business practices and uphold the highest standards of integrity in all dealings with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

General Requirements

Provide support, coordination and execution assistance to the rest of Titan America Sourcing and Group Procurement and other internal functions as needed

Constructively engage all stakeholders through clear communications, with a view towards excellent service to all key stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and effectively managing change as needed.

Training and Continuous Improvement:

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of procurement and supply chain management, best practices, and P2P software tools and platforms. Train and mentor other procurement members as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or commercial negotiating role, preferably in a capital-intensive industry such as cement/building materials, manufacturing, or energy.
  3. Experience negotiating and executing large complex contracts in a matrix environment.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, perform cost and risk analysis, and make data-driven decisions based on total cost and value.
  5. Ability to support safety, health & environmental compliance & sustainability initiatives.
  6. Demonstrated expertise in sourcing processes, including RFP’s/RFQ’s/RFI’s; supplier evaluation, contract negotiation and management, and supplier monitoring & development.
  7. Proficiency in sourcing tools and technologies including e-sourcing, Microsoft Office suite, ERP systems, Analytics/Visualization platforms and Project Management tools.
  8. Experience in or ability to learn SAP (S4/HANA) and Tableau / DOMO analytics interfaces.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Ability to influence and drive change as needed within the organization.
  11. Proven track record of driving cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance optimization and compliance.
  12. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to EH&S compliance, procurement and supply chain management.
