Title: VP of Finance

Overview:

Our client, is a climate tech organization that enables enhanced decision-making around natural resource management. They are backed by a number of recognized investors within the renewable space and are looking for a talented, driven VP of Finance to be a key partner and leader in our growth.

In this role, this individual will lead the organization, overseeing accounting, finance, and some operational responsibilities. This individual will work closely with the c-suite on business strategy and supporting any future fundraising rounds. The right candidate must be a seasoned finance and accounting professional within SaaS and/or renewable company.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial analysis related to strategy, cash management, and scenario planning to guide strategic decision-making.
• Oversee the annual company budget and quarterly re-forecasting process, collaborating with leaders across the team.
• Maintain ongoing communications and reporting with investors, banks, and other capital providers.
• Prepare financial inputs for board communications, reporting, and board meetings.
• Oversee, implement, and troubleshoot back-end systems integrations, and evaluate and implement opportunities to remove barriers to scaling the SaaS business.
• Develop tracking company OKRs and metrics, and manage OKR reporting across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a finance or accounting leader in a SaaS company preferred.
• Degree in accounting or finance – MBA/masters preferred.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 10+ years work experience, ideally with experience in finance, revenue / sales operations, or strategy function in a scaling organization.
• Must be tech-oriented, with comfort and familiarity across platforms to help create seamless integrations.
• Experience and comfort with creating, manipulating, and maintaining financial mode.
• Familiarity with energy and environmental issues and enthusiasm for our environmental mission.
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
