Job Summary:
The Battery Storage Project Manager will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of battery storage solutions. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of battery energy storage systems (BESS), including their design, configuration, optimization, and construction. The successful candidate will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they adhere to operational, budgetary, and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a representative of company, promoting company policies and fostering a positive attitude towards project goals.
- Direct the planning, execution, and successful delivery of battery storage projects.
- Engage in the conceptual development and estimation of projects, overseeing organization, scheduling, and execution.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and specification-compliant project completion.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, cost-effective project components.
- Supervise the preparation of project documentation, including schematics, work orders, and safety protocols.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in battery storage technology and industry trends to enhance project strategies.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues through direct engagement and communication.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the technical, administrative, and managerial aspects of BESS projects.
- Experience in substation design and construction is preferred.
- Understanding of public safety and construction security issues.
- Strong mathematical skills for problem-solving applications.
- Proficiency in reading and applying IFC drawings and job specifications for civil and electrical work.
- Ability to lead and coordinate actions of self and others, manage time effectively, and oversee personnel.
- Keen problem-sensitivity; capable of identifying potential issues and adapting as necessary.
- Excellent coordination, time management, active listening, verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and reasoning abilities.
- Self-motivated with a quick learning aptitude.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Viewpoint, Primavera Contractor, MS Project, and MS Office.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience in battery storage projects and a total of at least 5 years in project management.
- Strong technical knowledge of battery storage technologies.
