What to Expect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Quality Engineer to join our team at Tesla. In the Staff Quality Engineer, Industrial Storage role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate quality management principles into both constructions of new site and maintenance of the existing fleet. The successful candidate will identify and mitigate quality risks, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

What Youll Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality management system to ensure product specifications and industry standards are met
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues and defects, and report on quality performance to company stakeholders. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, issues, and progress towards quality objectives
  • Oversee documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports and corrective action plans
  • Provide training and support to project and operations teams on quality standards and best practices

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, with a strong focus on large-scale construction projects
  • Self-motivated, collaborative individual who can work across teams
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to industrial electrical projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex information and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate quality principles and standards

Expected Compensation

$124,000 – $258,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
