What to Expect
The Tooling, Process & Training team is responsible for developing and proliferating custom service and commissioning tooling hardware to assist in the rapid development and maintenance of Tesla Energys storage and charging solutions along with training of individuals on these solutions. This skilled and motivated individual will help with the creation and coordination of the new hire training program, helping with content creation, delivery of said content, project coordination, and be the liaison with the field service team.
The ideal candidate has a good mix of electrical and mechanical engineering skills with passion for working in a fast-growing renewable energy company.

What Youll Do

  • Develop high-quality, engaging technical content and lab exercises on a wide variety of applications (basic and advanced) in concert with process SMEs
  • Effectively/enthusiastically deliver equipment-specific training to Field Technicians and Engineers in classroom and field settings using a variety of presentation formats including Instructor-Led, Facilitative group learning, active hands-on learning, and functional assessments
  • Provide comprehensive schedule management and tracking of learners completed and required training in the Tesla-specific Learning Management software system
  • Work cross-functionally with the Training Systems and Development team to manage content storage and identify and track measures-of-success metrics

What Youll Bring

  • 4-6 years of proven teaching experience
  • Experience leading training sessions for large cohorts
  • Well-versed with BESS fundamentals
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with hardware, tools, instruments, and methods applicable to field service procedures
  • Collaborate and communicate with project stakeholders across program management, field support, customers, EHS, technical publications, service engineering, product design, etc.

  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings is a plus

Expected Compensation

$60,000 – $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
