What to Expect

Tesla is seeking an Energy Events Coordinator for Residential Energy (Powerwall, Wall Connector, Solar, Powershare, and MORE). In this role, you will support the growth of Residential Energy products sales and partner onboarding through our network of certified installers and at key events. You will have the unique opportunity to drive the Tesla Residential Energy van and host informative sessions. You will also travel across the country to engage the existing community of Residential Energy installers and help grow this network by supporting recruitment of new Residential Energy installers. You will take charge of operating the Residential Energy van to and from session destinations, generating interest in the product line and creating memorable experiences. This role provides you with the unique opportunity to be one of Teslas first representatives in the field to our customer base. This is a multi-faceted role where you are expected to have knowledge of the product and market for energy storage, along with great interpersonal communication. Our team is highly collaborative, creative, passionate and has a shared desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting technology and market landscape.

What Youll Do

  • Conduct product overview and installation training with installer and electricians
  • Conduct marketing and technical events, set up the Residential Energy van and engage with electricians and installers
  • Stay up to date on Teslas product suite and relevant Tesla customer tools such as Tesla Pros and Bolt
  • Work closely with local Residential Energy sales, engineering and marketing teams to coordinate customer visits and events
  • Safely drive and maintain the Tesla Residential Energy van, reporting issues promptly and ensuring cleanliness and organization, maintain technical equipment in the mobile unit,monitoring State of Charge and proper equipment operation
  • Manage your time on theroad plan itinerary, perform administrative tasks
  • Travel up to 3 weeks, at a time, each month; includes working on weekends (ad-hoc)

What Youll Bring

  • 3+ years experience in a B2B customer facing training and/or marketing/events role
  • Working knowledge of grid/utility markets, as well as grid-tied technologies, such as PV, wind, EE,DR or storage as it relates to residential and small commercial applications
  • Installation/electrical experience
  • Ability to cultivate interpersonal connections while facilitating learning and generating enthusiasm about renewable technology
  • Fluency in English
  • Valid driver’s license required
