What to Expect
Tesla Energys Channel Quality Department supports the installation and service of our partner installed energy products through the continual improvement of process, product quality, installation quality and the systems that surround them. We react to issues by containing, identifying root cause, and determining corrective actions to prevent recurrence while proactively identifying and mitigating risks to improve capability and capacity of our installation partners through new methods, tools, or material.

A primary function of this role is to assist in delivering and maintaining a feedback loop to our installation partners, working directly with them to ensure they can successfully and efficiently install our products. Utilizing a strong focus on data analysis, we work to understand our interactions between internal support and our partner installers, improving quality across both sides. This role is for technical minded individuals who can critically and creatively solve problems by working cross functionally with engineering, sales, technical support, and our external installation partners. A successful candidate for this team must be a problem-solver at their core, have a strong quality and customer-focused mindset, and have the personal drive and stamina for relentless, continual improvement, both personally and professionally.

This role can sit in any of the following locations: Austin, TX, Henderson, NV, Fremont, CA, or Buffalo, NY

What Youll Do

  • Provide regular feedback to stakeholders regarding call trends, compliance issues, and procedure/training manual updates that may arise
  • Perform call monitoring and assessment of call center interactions. Offer suggestions for process improvement to foster exceptional customer experience
  • Track performance metrics, prioritize top issues and drive continuous improvement activities with cross-functional team
  • Analyze data available anywhere within the Tesla ecosystem to expose, highlight, and evaluate process trends
  • Perform quantitative analysis of key failure trends at a national level, determines at fault and works with stakeholders to determine corrective actions and drive accountability to high quality
  • Define and implement operations review plans to address failure modes
  • Bring product expertise, problem solving skills, and creativity to add value to the team

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering/ Science major or equivalent experience in solar/ home storage installation
  • Spanish fluency to audit calls (in addition to English-language)
  • Technical understanding of solar systems and energy storage systems and understanding of electrical code/ electrical theory
  • Experience and understanding of customer service, technical support, and engineering environments
  • Fluent with common Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to independently make decisions, prioritize workflows according to multiple criteria, and solve problems with limited direction
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and highly reliable. Attention to detail and follow through on execution of tasks. Structured and professional written and verbal interpersonal communication skills

Expected Compensation

$17.60 – $48.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
