Everyone deserves the opportunity to build a better future. This simple idea has been at the heart of TechnoServes work around the world for over 50 years. TechnoServe is a pioneer in leveraging the power of businesses and markets to create sustainable pathways out of poverty.
The Carbon Accounting and Measurement Specialist drives high-quality carbon measurement across TechnoServes work. As part of our corporate strategy, TechnoServe has set ambitious targets to reduce, sequester or avoid 30 million metric tons of emissions by 2030. Achieving this target means scaling our long-standing support to corporate partners to catalyze equitable, profitable, and regenerative supply chains. Aligning the interests of these companies with those of local people working to escape poverty creates self-sustaining relationships that deliver lasting value both for the companies and for the enterprising women and men they work with.
The Regenerative Business team works closely with TechnoServe regional and country teams, as well as leaders from our Strategic Initiatives, Entrepreneurship, High Margin Agriculture, Coffee, and Food Processing global practices. The Carbon Accounting and Measurement Specialist plays an essential role inTechnoServes journey towards sustainable impact at scale through the rollout of TechnoServes Regenerative Business strategy, underpinned by a rigorous measurement framework that aligns with international standards and those of our corporate partners.
The Carbon Accounting and Measurement Specialist will develop TechnoServes carbon measurement methodologies, build internal measurement capacity and protocols, and support project teams in quantifying the emissions reductions attributable to the uptake of regenerative practices through our programming.
