Project – Onshore Substation (1x700MW)
Scope of Work & Deliverables
Leadership & Communication
- Ensure strict adherence to all environmental safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Champion and promote the company’s culture, core values, key performance indicators, and quality management systems.
- Effectively document and communicate project milestones, performance metrics, and emerging issues to all stakeholders.
Planning & Scope Management
- Provide daily oversight and direction for project resources, including personnel, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
- Seamlessly integrate resources, activities, and deliverables as outlined in the Project Execution Plan.
- Oversee the project budget, cost management, forecasting, and scheduling to ensure successful delivery.
- Proactively manage contract documents, risks, and project changes from inception to completion.

Project Integration Management: Oversee the integration of all processes and activities, ensuring cohesive project execution.

Project Scope Management: Ensure the project includes all necessary tasks to achieve successful outcomes, while avoiding unnecessary work.

Project Time Management: Monitor and track the processes required to ensure the project is completed within the defined timeline.

Project Cost Management: Collaborate with support and operations teams to plan, estimate, budget, and manage costs, ensuring the project is delivered within budgetary constraints.

Project Quality Management: Establish and uphold quality standards, policies, and responsibilities, ensuring the project meets its objectives.

Project Human Resource Management: Organize, manage, and lead the project team effectively.

Project Communications Management: Guarantee timely and accurate communication and information flow throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Risk Management: Lead risk management activities, including planning, identification, analysis, mitigation, and control of project risks.

Project Procurement Management: Manage procurement processes, including the acquisition of products, services, and external resources.

Project Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage all project stakeholders, manage expectations, and ensure effective participation in decision-making and project execution.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in substation design.
- Demonstrated experience managing major capital projects within the renewable energy sector, preferably onshore substations or offshore wind.
- Expertise in delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely results to both clients and customers.
- Comprehensive understanding of local and international standards, statutory regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in developing project scope documents, creating budgets, estimating costs, and maintaining project schedules.
- Skilled in using relevant software, including the MS Office Suite.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in substation projects.
- Extensive technical and practical experience in electrical engineering, with a strong background in multidisciplinary projects.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, facilitating efficient collaboration with team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the U.S. or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
