Join Our Team as a Development Engineering Manager!

Key Responsibilities (but not limited) :

  • Identify and assess potential development risks before executing lease agreements.
  • Supervise third-party consultants in conducting crucial technical studies, including geotechnical, hydrological, and environmental assessments.
  • Facilitate seamless communication among Development, Real Estate, and Transmission departments to optimize project success.
  • Manage site constraints and incorporate conceptual design layouts and engineering designs to ensure performance output and capex assumptions align with project goals.
  • Oversee risk timelines and milestones in coordination with the cross-functional team.
  • Lead the execution of engineering activities for high-voltage project design and electrical interconnection of utility-scale clean energy projects.
  • Implement AutoCAD design templates and standards while developing the company’s standards as projects evolve.

Required and Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in solar, storage, or infrastructure design with a focus on electrical design considerations and layout optimization for utility-scale solar assets.
  • At least 2 years of experience using AutoCAD, PVCase, ArcGIS, Google Earth, or similar platforms.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with PVSyst, NREL SAM, or other solar and battery performance platforms.
  • Thorough understanding of project risks in solar, with the ability to convey this information effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of permitting agency requirements and constructability concerns for utility-scale solar and storage projects.
  • Strong computing skills, including proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create trackers, and utilize Word and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
