Are you an experienced Project Analyst with a desire to excel? If so, then Talent Software Services may have the job for you! Our client is seeking an experienced Project Analyst to work at their company in Culver City, CA.

Position Summary: The Responsible Sourcing team is part of the Global Procurement department and supports strategy for inclusive and sustainable sourcing of goods, services, and corporate travel across. This includes reviewing our pool of current and potential suppliers to ensure diverse and sustainable suppliers exist throughout our global supply chain. Based on the Client Lot in California, this role reports into the Director of Global Responsible Sourcing. The Senior Responsible Sourcing Analyst will be the primary point of contact for limited Scope 3 upstream emissions data collection and analytics. This role will also work cross-functionally in an agile sourcing model as a trusted advisor supporting enterprise-wide projects that drive supplier diversity, process improvement, and economic equality. This position will have a strong focus on supplier sustainability and supplier diversity. The ideal candidate will have experience in analyzing data sets, identifying trends and opportunities from data, as well as the ability to showcase data in suitable presentation formats. It is an advantage, although not required, to understand the end-to-end source-to-contract process. Candidates must have demonstrated competency and character that is fair, inclusive, consistent, transparent, and accountable with a passion for inclusion and environmental sustainability.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Sustainable Analytics Proficiency: Collect and analyze supplier emissions data within Category 1 (purchased goods and services) and Category 6 (corporate travel) to determine our upstream Scope 3 emissions. Establish a baseline, assist with the implementation of decarbonization strategies, track performance to goal, and assist with data visualizations and reporting.
  • Business Intelligence: Leverage the existing data intelligence and automation system to store emissions data and track performance to goal. The system provides for data export in Excel. Conducts research to support proactive monitoring of emissions and identify opportunities from new product offerings or changes in the operating landscape to support decarbonization. Attend webinars, or other events to learn category best practices from industry associations, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Business Operations: Execute project plans, budgets, and strategies for Client Responsible Sourcing. Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as requested and provide reporting support to measure success. Support development of website operations, project scoping, project alignment, and process documentation to ensure clarity and accountability to deliverables.
  • Data Presentation Skills: Interpret supplier emissions data and use sound judgment to develop and present both high-level and comprehensive supplier sustainability performance data reports and presentation to both inform and cultivate a call to action.
  • Trusted Advisor: Manage relationships with internal Client stakeholders, suppliers, external industry partnerships and corporate memberships to coordinate sustainability strategies, opportunities, and requirements. Proactively seek to understand the challenges of our stakeholders and develop trusted relationships.
  • Agile: Continuously look for ways to improve the sourcing process and leverage new ways to drive faster cycle-time, reduce touchpoints, and increase the speed at which Client does business. Collaborate with business partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive an agile process.
  • Objective Focused: Able to conduct mutually beneficial knowledge and data exchanges to support cross-functional teams while remaining focused on the core objectives of the department and the responsibilities of this role.
  • Supplier Diversity Support : Assist the identification, onboarding, and referral of diverse suppliers. Support the training and adoption of the decentralized diverse supplier repository. Support diversity outreach engagement, communications, and reporting. Partner with key stakeholders, maintain effective working relationships, and provide timely updates on project progress. Facilitate project kick-off, stakeholder analysis, lessons learned, board updates, and the integration of work from multiple teams to deliver project success. Partner with Operations teams to ensure that projects have a robust service delivery model.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must typically have a minimum of 2-3 years of analytics experience.
  • Experience sustainability or ESG-specific experience preferred.
  • Corporate procurement, purchasing, and sourcing experience desired but not required.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel (including advanced Excel functions), and PowerPoint.
  • Must have experience or be willing to learn advanced data analytics (Power-BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience or be willing to learn Agile, Scrum, Kanban methodologies desired but not required.
  • The candidate must be an initiative-taker who can work independently and proactively identify potential areas for sourcing and demonstrate a curiosity to ask questions and learn new skills/knowledge.

  • Undergraduate Degree in Environmental Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent certification with equivalent years of experience
  • Applicable certifications in sustainability (e.g., Certified Net-Zero Analyst, Certificate on Carbon Reduction and Net-Zero Strategies) is a plus.
  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban or other similar certifications preferred but not essential.
