Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the development and deployment of our carbon capture technology utilizing our proprietary Sustenol solvent. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring that goals are met on time, within scope, and within budget. This role is critical to advancing Susteons mission to mitigate carbon emissions and contribute to global sustainability efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Lead project execution, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

  • Team Leadership: Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, researchers, and external partners. Foster a collaborative environment to drive project success.

  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and Department of Energy personnel. Provide regular project updates and ensure transparency in communication. Understand key requirements from prospective customers and execute accordingly. Experience working with an international solvent manufacturer.

  • Commercialization Experience: Coordinate the scale-up of Susteons proprietary point-source solvent technology and identify / generate leads for product sales.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Budget Management: Oversee project budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. Track expenses and provide regular financial reports.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Implement best practices in project management and process optimization.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, technical documentation, and post-project evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. A Masters degree or PMP certification is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of industry experience in project management, with a focus on carbon capture, or chemical process industries.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of carbon capture technologies, particularly solvent-based systems. Experience with process engineering and environmental regulations is highly desirable.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
