⚡ The Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Vice President of Sales based in California. This is a full-time, primarily remote role with occasional travel required to meet key clients and attend industry events. The VP of Sales will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. This leadership role involves managing customer relationships, overseeing contract negotiations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure continued market success and expansion.
⚡ Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy focused on driving growth across the drone, e-VTOL, industrial, and power tool markets.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and the competitive landscape in the lithium-ion battery sector, and recommend product adjustments where necessary.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
- Lead the creation of pricing strategies and develop compelling sales proposals.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and conferences, ensuring alignment with business development goals.
- Manage high-level contract negotiations, mitigate risks, and coordinate efforts across sales, marketing, finance, and production teams.
- Regularly provide sales performance reports and forecasts to the senior management team, while managing the sales budget and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate and align with global teams, participating in regular meetings across time zones.
⚡ Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field (STEM preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of sales leadership experience, ideally within industries related to battery technology, renewable energy, or high-tech solutions.
- Proven ability to lead sales teams, develop strategic plans, and drive business development initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with contract negotiations and relationship management.
- Familiarity with battery systems and renewable power markets is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily domestically with occasional international travel.
- Ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with high-value clients.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
