Job Title: Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Location: Palo Alto, CA

I am working with a pioneering Modular Hydrogen company dedicated to revolutionizing energy storage solutions with advanced hydrogen storage technologies. Their mission is to create sustainable, efficient, and scalable hydrogen storage systems to support the transition to clean energy. They are based in the heart of Silicon Valley, where innovation meets sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize AC/DC converters and power electronics systems for hydrogen storage applications.
  • Lead the development of power system architectures, including component selection, circuit design, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of power electronics with hydrogen storage modules and other system components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to power electronics systems, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics and related technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve existing designs and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in designing and developing AC/DC converters and power systems in the EV, eVTOL, automotive, autonomous vehicle, EV battery, or clean energy industries.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics principles, including inverter and converter design, control strategies, and thermal management.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar software for circuit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hydrogen storage systems or fuel cell technology.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware development for power electronics control.
  • Familiarity with safety and reliability standards specific to hydrogen storage and handling.
