⚡ Role: Maintenance Manager

💸 $120 to 160k

Storm4 is currently partnered with a company who are currently looking to increase plastic recycling from 10%-90% by targeting the materials that are notoriously difficult to recycle. Their first-of-its-kind facility is targeted to be fully operational by April 2025, but they are now looking for somebody to ensure all processes are in place beforehand.

They are building out their team and are looking for an experienced maintenance manager to join their team to assist with creating systems, infrastructure and procedures for the facility. The role will require a person with an aptitude for building and leading teams, managing the equipment maintenance of a large, bulk material handling facility and flexing between leadership and individual contributor activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Preventative maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all equipment, including equipment such as optical sorters, conveying equipment, shredders, pelletizers, and mobile equipment.
  • Equipment repair and troubleshooting: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues to restore equipment functionality quickly.
  • Condition Monitoring: Use condition monitoring tools and techniques to track the performance of critical machinery.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensures that the facility and all personnel operate safely at all times and promotes an environment whereby safety is a priority. Ensure all maintenance practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Staff supervision: Lead and supervise the maintenance teams, including hiring, training, and evaluating maintenance personnel.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager, or position with similar responsibilities, with at least 3 to 5 years of supervisor experience.
  • Excellent judgment regarding health, safety, environmental and fire protection risks with emphasis on injury prevention and business continuity.
  • Experience creating and managing maintenance budgets.
  • Experience with recycling equipment and processes, including but not limited to shredders, contaminant removal technologies, belt and pneumatic conveyors, optical sortation, and palletization.
  • Expert understanding of mechanical plastic recycling equipment.
  • Confident, proactive, and possessing strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be located in Houston, TX and travel may be required: 0 to 25%
