Storm4 is partnered with a leading battery solutions company seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to lead and drive growth in the data center energy solutions sector. In this role, you will focus on expanding our market presence by developing and executing strategies to promote our lithium and VRLA battery solutions to data centers across the region. Your primary goal will be to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth in the data center space.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies aimed at expanding our market share in the data center sector, with a particular focus on lithium and VRLA battery solutions.

Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the data center industry, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and aligned with market demands.

Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential customers within the data center industry, building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers.

Sales Growth: Drive sales growth by developing and managing a robust pipeline of opportunities, from lead generation to deal closure.

Partnership Development: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with OEMs, integrators, and other key players in the data center space to enhance our market position and expand our reach.

Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with company goals, while maintaining a focus on long-term customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and product development, to ensure customer requirements are met and to support the successful delivery of our solutions.

Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities, market trends, and sales performance, along with recommendations for strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:

Experience: 8+ years of experience in business development or sales within the energy storage, battery, or data center industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of lithium and VRLA battery technologies, particularly in their application within data centers.

Sales Acumen: Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close complex deals and manage long sales cycles.

Network: Established network of contacts within the data center sector, including key decision-makers and influencers.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical solutions to a variety of audiences.

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
