Position Overview:

The Renewable Energy Preconstruction Manager will play a crucial role in our project lifecycle, from conceptual design through to project execution. This remote-based position requires regular travel to project sites and client meetings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical construction and installation, specifically within the solar and BESS sectors. This role demands strong electrical estimating skills and a proactive approach to business development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preconstruction phase of renewable energy projects, including solar and BESS.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive electrical estimates for renewable energy projects.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate project feasibility and gather essential data.
• Support business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the construction phase.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor project progress and implement strategies to mitigate risks and address challenges.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction/installation experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with solar/BESS construction/installation.
• Proven electrical estimating experience is mandatory.
• Business development experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy systems and technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel as needed for site visits and client meetings.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for estimating and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
