JOB SUMMARY:

This position will provide day-to-day end-user business support for Oracle Planning in support of financial planning and budgeting functions across all subsidiaries of the Southern Company. The position will provide supplemental support (as it relates to Oracle Planning) for applications and processes that are integrated into Oracle Planning (Oracle Financials, UI Planner, PowerPlant, SHIPS/HCM, Oracle Projects, Third Party applications). This role will ensure stable/efficient operation of critical enterprise applications by troubleshooting issues, optimizing system performance, and supporting end users. The individual will need strong interpersonal skills and be able to successfully communicate to a variety of stakeholders as well as possess a collaborative, team-oriented mindset to provide timely support and solutions to end users. The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, rapid growth environment as well as be a member of a high-performance Agile SCRUM

Responsibilities :

  • Provide solution support including configuration, unit testing, controls execution, access management setup for Oracle EPM Planning solutions.
  • Collaborate with end-users to understand their requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance on system functionalities.
  • Analyze and resolvesystem defects to ensure system stability, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Optimize system performance by identifying/implementing enhancements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles.
  • Stay informed about latest features and functionalities of Oracle EPM Planning.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and optimizations.
  • Effective liaison between End-Users, Business Process Managers, and the Technology Organization for application support, user support, and prioritizing issues
  • Mentor and support entry level members of the support team.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years experience in application support and troubleshooting, with a focus on Oracle EPM Planning.
  • Working knowledge and expertise in Oracle EPM Planning.
  • Strong understanding of strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting business processes.
  • Working knowledge in SQL for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Experience with system integrations and working knowledge of integration/middleware tools and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills proven by experience in troubleshooting system issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting business processes is desired
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Relevant certifications in Oracle EPM Planning a plus.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies is required
  • Familiarity with Accounting, Finance, and Treasury financial application systems and processes is required.
  • Familiarity with other Enterprise Foundations/Oracle Cloud modules and/or business processes is required

Solution Technical Skills:

Demonstration of good understanding in several concepts including:

  • Application Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis and Log Analysis required
  • Scripting, Process Automation & Optimization is required
  • Understanding of Operating systems, Databases and Networking is required
  • Understanding of Cloud Services is required
  • Understanding of Security
  • Understanding Agile concepts and Incident Management is preferred
  • Business Continuity planning and execution is required
