Operator-Excavator – Construction

Job Responsibilities

• Operating a variety of equipment including but not limited to skid steers, mini-excavators, forklifts, backhoes, etc. as well as using hand tools
• Trenching, excavating and grading
• Mounting solar modules
• Minor concrete and paving work
• Miscellaneous construction site tasks as assigned

Skills And Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Two years’ experience operating a variety of construction equipment
• Three year’s general labor experience in construction including trenching, excavating, etc.
• High school diploma or GED

Other Competencies And Requirements

• Clean safety and driving record
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time in state and out of state

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work can be physically demanding, working frequently in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather and working conditions. May be subjected to extreme weather conditions and terrain as well as physical circumstances involving extensive climbing, lifting, bending and working in confined spaces. Requires weekday and, possibly weekend work on assigned sites and performing work supporting those assigned sites. Assigned sites may also require travel, overnight or extended stays. Sites typically are in the Southwestern United States.
