About The Role
The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services needed to support our solar EPC projects. You will collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure that materials are delivered on time to meet project timelines and budgetary constraints. Your role will require close coordination with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with project objectives. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong negotiation and organizational skills who can manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement Process Management: Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best possible deals
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project managers to forecast material needs
  • Cost Management: Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement. Prepare cost estimates and budgets
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the solar or construction industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Innovative and adaptable, with excellent collaboration, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Teams
  • Time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities without compromising the quality of their work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter
  • Valid Driver’s License, occasional travel to various job sites nationally as required
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
