This position provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to join the SolarEdge North America Sales Team and have a major part in leading the Company’s sales efforts in all segments of the solar industry, residential, commercial and utility, through direct and channel sales.

The Distribution Sales Manager will be responsible for the distribution of SolarEdge’s products through new and existing distributor relationships within the South West Region (California, AZ, NM, NV,)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grow SolarEdge market share in the residential and commercial markets that are served by our distribution partners through analysis of overall market trends, forecasts and development of strategic partnerships and alliances
  • Develop and nurture senior management relationships with SolarEdge distributors to drive adoption of SolarEdge’s portfolio of solutions
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key distribution sales representatives, facilitating collaborative efforts to drive joint sales initiatives with Solaredge Sales Directors and Regional Sales Managers
  • Develop quarterly distributor reviews based on performance data as well as SolarEdge and customer feedback. Combine feedback into strategic planning initiatives and program development. Report on key metric results and trends to the field sales organization
  • Develop and manage coverage plans, pricing programs and incentives for National Accounts
  • Identify, assess, and qualify new or alternative distributors for SolarEdge by utilizing our distribution management process
  • Provide product and solutions training to distributor’s sales team to ensure mind share and product application alignment. Utilize marketing to co-develop required tools and training materials
  • Lead the forecasting process to align with regional sales opportunities, local market trends, and existing inventory levels. Recommend and manage optimal inventory stocking at distributor sites, and drive POS reporting activities.
  • Act as point of contact for fulfillment and order management issues between distributor and SolarEdge; facilitate SPA activities with distributor sales and SolarEdge field sales team
  • Jointly develop go-to-market strategies and sales tools for product categories, recommend product and promotion strategies for the product portfolio, and collaborate on standard pricing for region/market with the appropriate segments
  • Use ongoing working relationships to drive competitive intelligence gathering in product performance, offerings and pricing. Leverage Marketing/Product Management to maintain a marketing intelligence reporting capability in order to keep abreast of market, customer, competitor and supplier trends

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in sales management; proven track record of creating successful long-term strategic distribution partnerships;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, and work as a team with various stakeholders;
  • Strong presentation skills, with the proven ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Strong computer and analytical skills; mid-level excel skills required; CRM experience required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the intuitive ability to work effectively with various personality types;
  • Self-motivated, team oriented, innovative strategic thinker with a passion for driving results, and a strong sense of personal accountability;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license; Ability to travel up to 60%.
  • Experience working for an international organization is preferred

FAIR PAY & A JUST WORKPLACE

At SolarEdge, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100-$120K. Total compensation includes base, commission, and equity. Target commission is 50% of the base salary. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at SolarEdge. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
