Job Description

The C&I Business Development professional will be deeply engaged with the planning and

execution of Sandbar’s business development activities, objectives and initiatives. The qualified

individuals will identify appropriate prospects, contact prospects, and ultimately retain them as clients or partners. This position is responsible for company revenue targets and generation, including marketing programs and alliances that will create lead generation, and multiple revenue streams. Reporting to the Vice-President of Business Development, the successful candidate must be confident, resourceful and enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Actively prospects to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities
  • Provides strategic insight and leadership in business development activities and developing revenue channels
  • Responsible for developing market initiatives, assessing new markets, and analyzing business opportunities
  • Conducts financial feasibility studies and develops proposals for new business opportunities
  • Works closely with Estimating and Project Execution Team Leaders to develop project opportunities
  • Leads the structuring, negotiation and development of partnerships and plays an active role with project development and relationship management
  • Identify emerging industry trends and key areas for growth; evaluate and execute on key partnership opportunities to enable growth
  • Grows business relationships with existing clients
  • Provides timely and accurate reports on sales activities and customer status

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive strategy and business development experience
  • Demonstrated ability with high level, consultative selling skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated experience as a leader and mentor
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25-50% of time
  • Results oriented; proven experience meeting/exceeding goals
  • Exceptional problem analysis/problem resolution skill at a strategic and functional level
  • Strong creative, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills a must
  • Able to create rapport easily; sense of humor critical
