Sol-Up has been in business for more than 14-years and is looking for a driven and proactive Sales Manager to join our team as we continue growing in numerous markets. The Solar Sales Manager is responsible for building, leading, and managing the sales team to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base for solar energy products and services. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, cultivating customer relationships, supporting the team to close deals, and overseeing the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction and company profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Build, train, and lead a sales team of Energy Consultants in Reno, NV who will be responsible for knowing Sol-Ups products and services, providing each prospective client with a positive experience with Sol-Up, effectively prospecting new sales opportunities through face-to-face and door-to-door interactions, and completing daily reports/status sheets.
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to the team that supports them to effectively execute their job duties to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed team goals.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings, and additionally as needed, with the team to review performance strategies and current results.
  • Create and analyze reports to track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist team with closing solar installation deals with homeowners by presenting products that are optimized to the homeowner with the goal of achieving a minimum 50% in home closing rate.
  • Meet or exceed targets set by executive leadership, attend company meetings and complete requested tasks. E.g., Daily end-of-day reports and weekly end-of-week.
  • Use designated applications to manage various aspects of the job. Sunbase, PISA, Open Solar, Nimbus and others as directed by the Company.
  • Demonstrate a pleasant and professional disposition with each prospect, client, and team member while leading by example. Excellent hygiene and dress appearance.
  • Overcome concerns and objections to close transactions and to develop best practices for the team constantly adapting to changing business environments.
  • Generate additional revenue and commissions through consistent networking and referrals.
  • Represent Sol-Up and our brand with professionalism, integrity, and passion including but without limitation, Solar, doors and windows, Blue Star Appliances, HVAC and all other products designated by the Company.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including limited travel, oversight at times for team building and field canvassing.

Requirements:

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires at least 5 years of sales experience, with 3 years of experience leading and managing a sales team.
  • Ability to obtain or already has a sales solicitation license through California Contractor’s Board (for local CA markets near Reno, NV).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and self-discipline.
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with clients and the team.
  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly while maintaining strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to communicate with the team and consumers.
  • Proficient in using software and technology tools for daily functions, MacOS and Google Workspace specifically.
  • A current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driver record and reliable transportation.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Travel:

  • This role requires travel within the designated managed region 10-30% of the time, based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry up to 30 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the office and in sales region, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external clients and contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to sit, walk, stand, stretch, bend and/or kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors of the office and travel in local sales market, be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, noise, dust, fragrance aromas.

Compensation:

  • $70,000 – $150,000 annual salary, based on experience and abilities
  • Sales commissions based on commission agreement criteria
  • Discretionary bonus opportunities, based on performance

  • Full-time, must complete essential role responsibilities on a consistent and regular basis

Pay: $70,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
