Summary:
The Channel Group Manager is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the company. This role collaborates with the Plant Manager to develop corporate and operational strategies, and is charged with facilitating these efforts across SKF, the Chanel Group Manager provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The Channel Group Manager oversees all Channel Managers at SKF. Central to this role is building positive and lasting relationships between SKF and its customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of organizations mission specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward Business Excellence.
  • Review monthly and quarterly assessments and forecast of organizations financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
  • Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
  • Other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to the SKF Group Code of Conduct, ethical principles, business behaviors, values, and standards.
  • A minimum of five years manufacturing experience in bearing or applicable manufacturing environment and a bachelors degree in engineering or quality control or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Lean Production Tools and Systems.
  • Strong background and work experience in operations, engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing.
  • Proficient in necessary computer software applications appropriate for the job (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment.
