Job Description

This position reports directly to the Controller, in Gastonia NC, with support to the Controller in Versailles, KY.

This role is responsible for Accurate Forecast, Budget, Costing, Inventory, Fixed Assets Hyperion, S&OP MIS, Reporting and other related duties as requested for 2 ATM locations.

  • Reporting: Sales by customer/by part. Cost/kg. Efficiency reports. Saving initiatives reports. Operational and Sustainability reports.
  • Hyperion: MIS reporting that ties to the balance sheet. Prepare supporting documentation for MIS Hyperion reports. S&OP.
  • Inventory: Gatekeeper of proper and accurate statement of inventory which includes coordination and recording: Annual physical inventory, cycle counts and individual cycle count adjustment postings/variance analysis/assurance all RM/FG are counted 1x monthly, Spare parts inventory including assuring cycle counts are being conducted and recorded correctly and inclusive. Enhance current controls to ensure all inventory adjustments are made properly with approvals.
  • Account reconciliations: Document reconciliations of Inventory sub-ledger to General Ledger account balances as assigned by the Controller.
  • Cost Analysis: Run Preliminaries into SAP, analyze variance/investigate for reasonableness, and post monthly. Standard Cost. Absorption rates
  • Daily Reporting KPIs: Tons produced, Tons Sold, Daily Sales, Inventory reports, expired materials, Raw Material, and Sales Price index.
  • ME JE’s: Bonus and other accruals monthly.
  • MDM Process: participate in the Material data master (new part creation) review costing, estimate to ensure all is included then roll cost of new part creations.
  • Other: Additional duties as requested to support successful team and Gastonia/KY sites performance.

Qualifications

  • Education required: 4 year degree in Accounting or similar.
  • Experience required: FP&A roles, minimum 5 years in multi-national finance positions; preferable in mfg. environment
  • Professional license or certificate requirements: None
  • Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required: strong aptitude for math and strong analytical skills
  • Above average computer skills and experience with SAP S4/Hana, Hyperion, and operation of Microsoft Office programs such as EXCEL and Word
  • Above average knowledge of Cost Accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as Forecast and Outlook discussions.
  • Above average critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with modern inventory control methods
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with production, warehouse, and Management personnel to affect better work processes with regard to cost control
