As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing new lighting products with our proprietary 3D Printing technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Mechanical Design of 3D printed lighting fixtures and components, tailored to our customers vision and needs, in a global, cross functional team using digital tools and methods.
  • New product development, from concept design, prototyping, testing, documentation to production.
  • Collaborate with product architects to verify product performance according to the product specification and manufacturing to develop production friendly assemblies and product documentation (G-Codes, datasheets, drawings, etc.).
  • Create initial BOMs, Inputs to PE and Process Eng., DFMEA inputs, etc.
  • Ensure the quality of 3D Printing designs, on time, and within budget, as agreed with stakeholders.
  • Identify and support new ways of working to improve process efficiency.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • 1+ years of work experience in mechanical design and product development (internships qualify)
  • Knowledge of design for assembly and manufacturability, and thermal analysis.
  • Experience with CAD tools, preferably Solid Edge, SolidWorks, and Rhino.
  • Able to travel 10% (domestic)
  • Experience with graphic design tools – InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

  • Salary: $74,400 – 109,120
  • Bonus: target bonus opportunity – 5%
