A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
The Supply Management Manager for Supplier Management at Siemens Energy is responsible for leading and supervising all aspects of supplier management! This role ensures the strategic and operational procurement processes align with Siemens Energy’s goals and supports the companys capacity expansion programs. The manager will also manage a team dedicated to maintaining strong supplier relationships and ensuring efficient delivery, quality, and cost performance!
How Youll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- Supervise the Procurement team, including 1 Lead and 11 employees.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for the procurement team to ensure dedication and professional growth.
- Lead functional operational procurement to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
- Support capacity expansion initiatives, including the 2nd Source Production Part Qualification (PPQ).
- Conduct regular Supplier Management Calls to establish priorities and resolve issues.
- Organize and lead Supplier Production Meetings to supervise and enhance supplier performance.
- Facilitate Business Reviews to evaluate supplier performance on metrics such as delivery priorities, on-time delivery (OTD), and capacity management.
- Align supplier management practices with corporate governance policies to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Lead Blad&Vane’s production meetings to discuss production timelines, challenges, and solutions with key partners.
- Conduct Supplier Visits and Cockpits to assess supplier capabilities, champion strong relationships, and identify areas for improvement.
What You Bring (requirements)
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of leading and developing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier relationship leadership skills.
- Proficient in supply chain management systems and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Masters degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in the energy sector or related industries.
- Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
Gas Services
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines, and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
