The order and project manager position is a dynamic and crucial role within the Combustion Components manufacturing department located in Charlotte, NC. The order and project manager sets the stage for the rest of the organization, monitors health of orders, and recognizes sales when orders complete. The position is centered between production, procurement, and various customers ranging from new build gas turbines in Berlin, service spare demands from Orlando, and even critical path outages all over the world. A typical day will include in-depth SAP work, Excel spreadsheeting, creative problem solving, and plenty of internal customer interaction.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Process and maintain orders from customers (BLN, SVC, Repair) as SD’s within Plant 1310
- Responsible to consolidate and communicate a rolling 3-month sales forecast while keeping delivery dates accurate in SAP
- Provide expertise and guidance for out-of-the-ordinary requests from customers (EN, QE, etc.)
- Be point of contact for assigned customers, hold update meetings, negotiate dates, etc.
- Process RFQ and TRLT requests as needed.
- Assist in quotation, acceptance, and order maintenance of new business opportunities as they arise
What You Bring
- Bachelors Degree (BS/BA) or Associates Degree with equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in scheduling, order management, data management, or project management.
- Proven proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office software, required.
- Excellent communication skills, required.
- Experience with SAP BOM, MM, serialized parts, and creation of SDs, preferred.
- Ability to evaluate options and make decisions
- Ability to work as a team player
- Ability to be creative and flexible to find solutions for customer needs

Specifically, the Charlotte Combustion Manufacturing team provides repair and new combustion components to support gas turbine service and new build customers. We pride ourselves on creative solutions to our customer’s needs.
