The Manufacturing Supervisor will play a crucial role into manufacturing process for our Large Power Transformers. The primary and most important task is to ensure safety, quality, cost and alignment within the planning process and the final execution looking for strategies to prioritize and minimize any impact in our production lines.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Defining strategies, tactics and methods to create a high-performance team culture.
  • Ensuring alignment to defined manufacturing guidelines, processes and procedures.
  • Supervising production activities according to established EHS requirements and quality standards.
  • Contributing to production planning processes and determines manufacturing priorities based on established weekly production schedules.
  • Scheduling and promoting the active participation during EHS evaluations and QG [Quality Gates].
  • Proposing procedures improvements and implementing technical infrastructure.
  • Performing first level meeting with employees to review and resolve any deviation during the process.
  • Performing employee evaluations to promote or improve performance into the manufacturing process.
  • Advises all related personnel actions, trains staff, drives performance measurements, etc.
  • Ensuring coherence with internal guidelines , and with all relevant external regulations.
  • Contributing to budget planning processes for the respective unit and allocating budget and personnel resources.
  • Prioritizing and assigning production order tasks to the team members and checking progress of agreed transactions and workflows to ensure accurate completion.
  • Responding to complex, operations related inquiries.
  • Reporting accurately and timely to accountable management.
  • Being a leader to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system [EHS, QA, Cybersecurity, etc.].

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Electric, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years experience in Manufacturing Industries (Transformer Manufacturing preferred) and Two or more years of people management experience
  • Experience with SAP & HANA Systems & and Lean Manufacturing principals
  • Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • Experience performing Process Analysis including Root Cause Analysis
  • If not local, the candidate must be willing to relocate to Charlotte-NC area.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
