A Snapshot of Your Day Siemens Energy in Tampa is looking for a Lean and Digitalization Expert in the field Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement to join our Blades and Vanes Division. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, elevating product quality, and spearheading innovative practices. You will support an enthusiastic team and work collaboratively across different departments to pinpoint improvement opportunities, apply industry-best practices, and nurture a culture of continuous enhancement, demonstrating your deep knowledge in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies combining with Digitalization solutions.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Continuous Improvement: Guide and mentor teams through comprehensive analyses and Lean Six Sigma techniques, aiming at process optimization, waste minimization, and operational performance improvement.
  • Operational Excellence: Employ Lean principles to improve critical operational metrics like cycle time, throughput, and quality. Implement standardization, visual management, and error-proofing methods to achieve excellence.
  • Digitalization: Be a driving force for the implementation of strategic digitalization goals. Support the development and management of IT/OT
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to streamline processes and enhance operational excellence, ensuring alignment to Lean and Six Sigma frameworks.
  • Organisational Change: Lead the cultural shift towards innovation and change, applying effective change management tools to engage and align all organizational levels with Lean transformation goals.
  • Performance and Progress Measurement: Establish and maintain effective KPIs and metrics that reflect Lean and Six Sigma principles to track improvements, assess initiative success, and ensure accountability.
  • Project management and planning: Developing conceptual plans, budgets, and risk analysis. Coordinating committees to facilitate planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing in the Power Generation or a related industry, with a substantial track record in leading and supporting Lean projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, TPM) and Six Sigma techniques (statistical analysis, experimental design, control charts).
  • Affinity and first experience with IoT – tools (AWS, Grafana) and programming languages desirable (Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI) as well as to automation projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating and influencing at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing Lean and Six Sigma transformations and continuous improvement programs in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Develops and coordinates conceptual plans, budgets, and risk analysis.
  • Oversees, monitors, reports on all phases of planning to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives, e.g., timelines and costs.
