Job Description

A Snapshot of Your Day

  • Tool Depot Technician reporting to the Siemens Energy Houston Campus 1200 W Sam Houston Parkway North Houston TX. Technicians are responsible for receiving, inspection and warehousing of materials, tools, and equipment. The Technician will assist the Tool Shop Manager on all tasks. The Technician will be responsible for Calibrating and issuing certified serialized items to tool kits/jobs.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Digital Literacy: Coordinate and maintain orders, shipments, inspection, and general data in our Tool Control (TCTP) database. Good solid understanding of Microsoft Office products i.e. Excel & Word
  • Receive and execute container inspections using the tool control database.
  • Shipping, receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in tool units
  • Complete inspection of all tools upon return to the facility and restock as required.
  • Clean, repaint and perform minor repairs on tooling as required.
  • Perform Calibration on precision equipment

What You Bring

  • Mechanical Proficiency: 5-7 years experience working with machinery and tools.
  • Metrologist Certification in Precision Measuring Equipment.

Knowledgeable and 1-2 years’ experience in Guage Track/TCTP software

  • Organizational Skills: Attention to detail, working within established standard principles and practices for inspection and warehouse operations. Ability to organize critical items and tool containers in an efficient manner.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
