A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Bid Manager you will lead the preparation of Technical and Commercial Proposals for New Equipment. You will also be involved in supporting the organization in deal closing and Client opportunity discussions!

You will develop technical solutions using Siemens Energy application tools and processes. In addition, you will also develop commercial offerings within the pricing guidelines and commercial governance requirements of Siemens Energy!

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Reviewing and interpreting Client requisitions and specifications (RFQs) for new equipment with an emphasis on Reciprocating Compressor applications targeting new H2 economy, decarb applications, and traditional oil & Gas applications.
  • Dedicated to focused growth of Siemens Energy Reciprocating Compressors in Upstream / Midstream applications
  • Develop Siemens Energy equipment selections using company derived selection tools in conjunction with industry-standard software
  • Contribute to Bid Strategy discussions for new Reciprocating opportunities, providing input on technical matters and value advantages of Siemens Energy product and service offerings.
  • Work with operations & supply chain to consolidate all required details and costing needed for a project, as well as associated schedule
  • Ensure that proposals meet Siemens Energy standards for quality, accuracy, completeness and timeliness
  • Coordinate and participate in client clarification meetings and discussions.
  • Participate and lead the internal kick-off meetings and client kick-off meetings.
  • Support the Sales Manager with project or product presentations, including value propositions.
  • Conducts business affairs with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical, Electrical, Petrochemical, Chemical Engineering or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of applicable experience with a concentration in reciprocating machinery or related rotating equipment. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Desire / hunger to compete and win New Equipment business against global competition.
  • Provide the optimal technical solution meeting the Clients needs with a competitive Commercial offer.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills necessary.
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills.
  • Global awareness and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Possess a keen awareness and appreciation for internal and external Clients.
  • Willing to travel up to 35% globally to support project presentation, bid clarification, training, and kick-off meetings.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

This job may be based in New York or Texas. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://benefitsatenergy.com/thinking-of-joining.html.The base salary range for this position if based in New York is $75,000 – $106,500, and the annual incentive target is 10% based on base salary. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on everyones qualifications.
