Sr. Proposal Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Proposal Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on role managing proposals, not people management. The Engineering Proposal Manager will play a crucial role in leading the proposal development process, ensuring the creation of compelling, accurate, and competitive proposals that align with client needs and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end proposal process from initial RFP review to submission, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather necessary information and insights for proposal development.
• Analyze RFP requirements and develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and schedules.
• Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
• Conduct proposal reviews, coordinate feedback, and integrate inputs from various stakeholders to enhance proposal quality.
• Manage proposal production, including formatting, graphics, and document control to create visually appealing and professional submissions.
• Develop and maintain proposal templates, boilerplate content, and reusable materials to streamline future proposal efforts.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to enhance proposal strategies and positioning.
• Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings, presentations, and discussions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards throughout the proposal process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent working experience.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in engineering proposal management within the electrical engineering or related industry.
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts, particularly in power systems, systems integration/control, and electrical infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in proposal management software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite). CRM experience with Salesforce.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform proposal strategies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality proposals that drive business growth.
