Role Overview
The Operational Asset Manager (OAM) will play a key role in driving value for Pivot Energy’s distributed generation assets and for all associated stakeholders. To deliver this value, the Operational Asset Manager will leverage operations & maintenance (O&M) oversight and production data evaluation to optimize site performance.

Traveling domestically to job sites ranges from 15-20% of work hours. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage all operational facets of active solar PV distributed generation site operation within assigned sub-set of assets:
- Manage subcontractors and oversee internal reporting systems to ensure portfolio assets are performing at or above forecasted production
- Monitor and challenge the operational performance of solar assets to achieve the projects’ highest possible availability
- Identify, evaluate, and implement optimization tactics for asset performance improvement
- Monitor and evaluate corrective actions required for maximum asset performance
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports for sub-set of assets for all reporting entities as required
- Review annual preventative maintenance reports and identify follow-up activities required
- Manage operational costs to determine budgets
- Support new site onboarding:
- Review and approve site commissioning documentation
- Collect, review, and log all as-built documentation into associated management platforms
- Review contractual obligations for ongoing operations and synthesize compliance requirements in the task management platform
- Support Financial Asset Management team:
- Provide supporting documentation as needed for insurance renewals, claim management, payments, invoices, property tax, permitting, regulatory requirements, and other compliance obligations
- Coordinate with the Financial Asset Management team to prepare accurate cash flow forecasting
- Complete quarterly budget reviews for projects in the assigned portfolio
- Provide quarterly operating reports for assigned sub-set of assets
Required Competencies
- Minimum two (2) to four (4) years of related experience, preferably experience in the solar energy or other renewable energy industry
- Working knowledge of solar equipment, technologies (legacy and emerging), design, and plant operations
- Ability to read and interpret solar site plans and electrical diagrams
- Experience in asset management, including contract compliance, budgeting & forecasting, production data evaluation, and stakeholder reporting
- Demonstrated energy industry research
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track & execute large volumes of on-going compliance obligations
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to work across teams are highly desirable
Preferred Competencies
- Solar engineering experience (PVsyst, Helioscope, etc.)
- Understanding of Renewable Energy Credits
- Understanding of Community Solar and Commercial & Industrial Solar
- NABCEP certification (any category)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Data Management in various platforms, including SmartSheet and Salesforce

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$130,000 depending on relevant experience, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 30% of annual salary (prorated in the first year based on start date).
