Position Summary:

Semper Solaris is looking for an organized and motivated Solar Inspection Technician for our Solar Operations department. The Solar Inspection Technician will perform a wide variety of electrical operations duties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and a genuine care to his/her craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Prep completed installations for final inspection by the local building departments
  • Schedule and meet with local departments for final inspections
  • Meet and communicate with homeowners about final inspection timelines
  • Commission solar monitoring systems
  • Complete basic electrical configurations
  • Troubleshoot systems
  • Develop positive working relationships with city inspectors

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in residential solar and electrical
  • Knowledge of solar industry and NEC code
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direction/oversight
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid CA drivers license

  • Comfortable working with a variety of technologies
  • Strong time management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong commitment to a successful customer experience
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to find answers to field issues and communicate them effectively
  • Ability to prioritize work and work under sensitive time restraints
  • Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills

Pay Rate: $25-$28/hr. Depending on Experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly, and be comfortable with heights of at least 20 feet and walking on all roof types
  • Able to work in various weather conditions and in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
